  1. MARGARET'S HOPE D'OR™

    SFTGFOP1 DJ194/2015
    Darjeeling Premium Second Flush

In the heartland of Darjeeling, this magnificent garden full of romance inaugurated in 1864 rises to nearly 2,000 m in altitude. Nourished by the pure flowing waters of two rivers, the centenary tea plants flourish along the steep sides of the valley facing the peaks of the Himalayas, surrounded by forests and wild flowers. One of the most celebrated and emblematic gardens of Darjeeling.

Dried leaves : A decorative ensemble of ashy-ebony buds with golden highlights exhale a rich aroma, a signature of this flamboyant black tea. An intense prelude of honey transforms into zesty notes of chocolate recalling a delightful indulgence of candied orange peel.

Infused leaves : Frosted terracotta. The exquisite fragrance is driven by a vaporous note of summer truffle. After cooling down, a fruity aroma reveals black cherry mingling with fresh hazelnut.

Liqueur : Hypnotic ruby. The liquor caresses the palate with a velvety sensation of red fruit syrup topped with heady whiffs of lavender. The succeeding cups reassure the taster with sweet nuances of violet candy and nougatine, as if in a confectioner’s shoppe. The finale is punctuated by a captivating fragrance of davana flower.

    Joyful and smiling.
