AMBOOTIA ROYAL
Description
Ambootia (which means « Land of the mango trees ») is one of the most famous gardens of Darjeeling in the foothills of the Himalayas. For over twenty years, this majestic plantation has been cultivated in complete harmony with this exceptional Terroir according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, methods which have contributed to the fame of this prestigious appellation.
Dried leaves: The elegant and impeccably crafted leaves reveal the remarkable expertise of this renowned garden. Long and slender, they appear as fine, undulating needles, dressed in a deep ebony robe delicately nuanced with hints of rosewood.
Infused leaves: Their rising steam unfolds a generous bouquet of blackcurrant confit and ripe pomegranate, soon entwined with a floral sweetness carrying subtle accents of rose macaron.
Liquor: The cup glows with amber reflections set with touches of topaz. Comforting notes of honey sweets and candied orange peel follow one another in harmonious succession. The supple, silky texture unfurls on the palate with a suave roundness in which the delicate warmth of a finely roasted walnut lingers.
Presented in a Mariage Frères black pouch.
