NAMRING UPPER ELIXIR
Description
« Tea from beyond the skies »
The celebrated garden of Namring was created in 1855 by the British. Cultivated at 1,525 meters in altitude, this cru is harvested from an absolutely magnificent and prestigious parcel of land. Ample sunlight and pure water from the Himalayas provoke the formation of tasty buds and hence the crafting of this grand millesime. The remarkable character of Namring’s terroir and the admirable work of the planters associated with the unique savoir-faire of Mariage Frères give rise to a rich splendor of lunar velvety shades.
The ‘Darjeeling Nouveau’ Collection, created by Mariage Frères: an early-bird special, this tea is delivered from the tea garden to the cup.
Dried leaves: Long and whole, the leaves reveal a precise craftsmanship that accentuates their slender contour. A generous proportion of downy buds brightens the harvest with pearly-white tones reminiscent of eternal snow.
Infused leaves: From the heart of the warm leaves rises a confident aroma of green fig. It gradually rounds out with angelica and candied mango, unfolding into a broad, persistent, fruity canvas of flavours.
Liquor: The cup glows with crystalline shades of golden beryl. Supple yet lively, the liquor unfurls generous accents of apricot confit and muscatel grape, subtly lifted by a delicate note of fresh almond. This spring reveals a radiant Namring, radiant with vibrant fruit, carried by a youthful, invigorating energy.
A new opus of a long-awaited spring.
Preparation: 3.5g in 20cl of spring water at 95°C for 5 min.

2 - filter out the leaves then let the liqueur come to room temperature,
3 - best served in a large balloon glass, filled up to a third.
"Cold brew", a slow infusion in cold water, results in a further exploration of the infinite aromatic palette of this grand cru. The cold allows new fragrances to express themselves in a dazzling and totally intoxicating way.
