Issued from Jhinglam and Poomong, two extraordinary divisions of the Namring garden created in 1855 by the British, these parcels of land are found between 1,220 and 1,370 metres in altitude. A pruning in July, good sunlight and the masterful irrigation of hardy, century-old tea plants resistant to the cold temperatures allowed for an exceptionally early growth of buds and the confection of this grand cru 2018. The admirable work of the planters, our unique savoir-faire and the remarkable character of the Namring terroir give rise to a rich splendour of lunar velvety shades.
Presented in a Mariage Frères black pouch.
Description
Dried leaves: Voluptuous buds and young leaves delicately harvested at dawn careen in an expanse of moonlight, jade and silver from which exhales a perfume of bamboo resin and blond caramel.
Infused leaves: An elegant green moiré, the leaves deliver a woody fragrance of raisin and cashew.
Liqueur: Golden amber, the liqueur blends impressions of blood peach with Morello cherry. A hint of vetiver is joined by a dash of delectable hazelnut praline. Magnolia honey dances with delicately fruity aromas before a delightful finale inspired by raspberry.
