NAMRING-GOLD UPPER
« Tea from beyond the skies »
The parcels of tea in the Namring garden, created in 1855 by the British, belong to Jhinglam and Poomong at 1,220 and 1,370 meters in altitude. The remarkable character of the Namring Terroir as well as the combination of the planter's admirable work coupled with our unique savoir-faire give birth to this splendid tea with myriad aromatic nuances.
This Darjeeling Nouveau has been released early, fast-tracked from the estate to the cup.
Presented in a Mariage Frères black pouch.
Description
Dried leaves: Sumptuous whole leaves and tender buds with undulating forms whose jade hues are punctuated with a touch of platinum.
Infused leaves: Their absolutely divine scent blends the sensuality of rosebud with the fruitiness of melon syrup. A few sparkling notes of Victoria pineapple coalesce at the end.
Liqueur: As golden as a bouquet of mimosa, the sparkling liqueur twinkles with the precious down of silvery buds. Like caressing the palate, one can intensely perceive all the freshness of spring, between mock orange honey, green fig jam and crunchy mirabelle plum. A gem of Darjeeling.
Tea from beyond the skies: an extraordinary Darjeeling Nouveau.
Cold brew:
1 - place 10g of tea in 1 liter of spring water; keep in the fridge for about 12 hours.
2 - filter out the leaves then let the liqueur come to room temperature.
3 - best served in a large balloon glass, filled up to a third.
"Cold brew", a slow infusion in cold water, results in a further exploration of the infinite aromatic palette of this grand cru. The cold allows new fragrances to express themselves in a dazzling and totally intoxicating way.
