NAGRI
Description
On the heights of Darjeeling, amid forests and mist, the Nagri garden has flourished since 1870 at an altitude of over 1 200 meters. From these cool, refreshing slopes are born teas of great delicacy, prized by aficionados and embodying all the elegance and finesse of the finest Darjeeling. This cru comes from a plot reserved for Mariage Frères, cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
Dried leaves: Second opus from the Nagri garden. This new harvest, with leaves deftly sculpted into elegant whorls, stands out for the brilliance of its distinctive hues, revealed through an exquisitely light touch of its shaping. A chromatic journey into the heart of a lush garden, punctuated by accents of deep amaranth purple and an intense, almost hypnotic green.
Infused leaves: The infused leaves release a luminous fragrance, where sun-kissed accents of strawberry soften through a compote of green plum.
Liquor: The liqueur, clear and shimmering, is adorned in a daffodil-gold hue. Its bouquet, both sensual and sparkling, weaves together mandarin blossom with the crisp freshness of green apple. On the palate, a rich structure lends this spring tea depth and character, extending the tasting with finesse.
Preparation: 3.5g in 20cl of spring water at 95°C for 5 minutes.
Cold brew:
1 - place 15g of tea in 1 litre of spring water and refrigerate for approximately 12 hours,
2 - filter out the leaves then let the liqueur come to room temperature,
3 - best served in a large balloon glass, filled up to a third.
"Cold brew", a slow infusion in cold water, allows for a further exploration of the infinite aromatic palette of this grand cru. The cold allows new fragrances to express themselves in a dazzling and utterly intoxicating way.
