Pouch of 20g
Description
This matcha comes from the gardens of Tawarachō, south of Kyoto in the renowned region of Uji, and benefits from an exceptional terroir: pronounced temperature variations between day and night, frequent mists, and perfectly drained limestone-rich soils.
The Okumidori cultivar, a cross between the Yabukita variety and a native cultivar from Shizuoka, lends this matcha its natural sweetness, aromatic elegance, and deep green colour, a hallmark for which this variety is particularly prized.
In the cup, the liquor is smooth and beautifully balanced, with delicate floral notes and a comforting roundness that perfectly reflects the refined character of Uji teas.
Here, the personality of Okumidori is expressed with remarkable precision: a harmonious matcha that is at once gentle, vividly green, and exceptionally well-balanced. An ideal choice for those seeking a subtle matcha with genuine depth and sophistication.
Preparation:
- Place about 1.5 g of Matcha tea in a bowl, then pour in 4 cl of hot water (70°C).
- Swiftly whip the tea for 30 seconds with a bamboo whisk, or chasen, then enjoy.
