The tea bushes planted at the beginning of the golden age of tea are the subject of special attention in order to bring out their aromatic quintessence which makes for the remarkable identity of this excellent garden. An ode to the senses and to pleasure.
Presented in a Mariage Frères black pouch.
Description
Dried leaves: The elegant buds and fine leaves, plucked and then expertly handcrafted, create a landscape with the green shades of a montane garden.
Infused leaves: A seductive scent of candied angelica invites you along a fruity promenade enhanced with mirabelle plum and red papaya.
Liqueur: Golden with coppery highlights, the cup is filled with very delicate floral notes such as white peony and poppy syrup. This exceptional terroir’s finesse is expressed through its lively and precise texture in which pleasant hints of candied fruit lead to a gourmet finish of almond biscuit.
A legendary and essential stopover on the route to the grand crus of Darjeeling.
Cold brew:
1 - place 15g of tea in 1 litre of spring water; keep in the fridge for about 12 hours.
2 - filter out the leaves then let the liqueur come to room temperature.
3 - best served in a large balloon glass, filled up to a third.
"Cold brew", a slow infusion in cold water, results in a further exploration of the infinite aromatic palette of this grand cru. The cold allows new fragrances to express themselves in a dazzling and totally intoxicating way.
