Red tea, Rooibos scented with vanilla, mint, rose or even earl grey
RED TEA - ROOIBOS
The red tea or Rooibos does not come from the Camellia Sinensis tea plant; rather, it is made from a bush known variously in Latin as Asphalatus Linearis, Asphalathus Contaminatos, and Borbonia Pinifolia. It is grown at an altitude of 1500 feet and the harvest takes place in February or March. The beverage has no stimulating effects, for it is absolutely free of theine and contains very little tannin. It is nevertheless very rich in vitamin C, mineral salts, and protein.
