Starting in 1852, just two years before the creation of Mariage Frères, the garden of Puttabong known as the « Land of Green Leaves » planted its first tea bushes. Innovation and quality illustrate the values held dear by this pioneering plantation, working for the preservation of their Terroir by applying agricultural techniques in harmony with nature. The purity of the harvests are equalled only by the supreme pleasure in their tasting. Dried leaves: The golden buds depict a fresco of mahogany nuances, with rich aromatic tones of black sesame and delightfully gourmet macaron. Infused leaves: Velvety amber. The leaves emit delicious fragrances of candied Damask rose petals inflected with roasted hazelnut. Liqueur: Supple and graceful, the liqueur releases delicious waves of cocoa, tempered by a lingering, all-encompassing texture. Notes of honey-roasted banana and ripened pear score the liveliness of an infusion recalling a scent of hibiscus flower while the finale rests on a sweet, playful hint of crème de marron.
