Description

Drawing its inspiration from the Orient, created in 1875, this teapot arose from a movement seeking, through the representation of characters, fauna and flora of the Orient, a sense of mystery and exoticism. The Orient thus recreated by the Romantics was an imaginary, eternal land of adventure, enchantment and fantasy. Compared with a European world going through huge change, it represented the notion of immutability.

This teapot plays on the poetry of nature and the magic of the desert, and brings to mind the footprints of both man and camel in those strange, hostile and colourful lands inundated with sunshine that invite us to set out on journeys, and promise moments of rest rewarded by hot tea.

Before using your silver teapot for the first time, we recommend following these instructions:

1. Wash with a soft sponge and soapy water.
2. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

To brew your tea:

• Pour boiling water into your teapot and discard the water.
• Place the required amount of tea in the filter provided.
• Pour hot water over the tea to cover it and replace the lid to keep it warm.
• Once the brewing time is up, remove the filter and serve.

Silver preserves the aromas without altering them.

To care for your teapot:

• Regular care for the exterior: damp cloth. Always dry thoroughly after each use. 
• Regular care for the interior: clean with a soft sponge and soapy water, rinse and dry.
• Occasional maintenance to remove tannin deposits inside the teapot: leave a mixture of very hot water and white vinegar or lemon juice or bicarbonate of soda or citric acid to act. Empty the teapot, rinse with clean water and dry. Repeat the operation as many times as necessary until the interior regains its original appearance.
• Occasional maintenance for the exterior (in case of silver oxidation): use soft wipes specially designed for silver.

Avoid extreme temperature changes.
