Description
Donyi Polo (literally ‘the Sun’ and ‘the Moon’) is a garden in the foothills of the Himalayas, in the heart of Himachal Pradesh on the borders of China, Burma and Bhutan.
Mariage Frères brings you a gift fresh from its latest trip: a magical, rare black tea from tea bushes grown in harmony with nature. Just a stone's throw from the garden, the Siang River, with its pure mountain water and its source in Tibet, feeds this fertile valley with its generous flora, providing ideal conditions for the tea plants to flourish.
Welcome to a new world!
Dried leaves: Twisted buds in golden and silvery hues deliver a note reminiscent of calisson and fresh lentisque.
Infused leaves : Draped in a splendid ochre-bronze hue, the buds evoke pineapple sprinkled with tonka bean.
Liquor: Amber garnet. An indulgent heart of gianduja invites you to savour. Notes of hazelnut dance among succulent scents of pomegranate glaze and black cherry.
Graceful and generous.
