CASTLETON
Description
Nestled in the vicinity of Kurseong, the « City of the White Orchid », Castleton has been one of Darjeeling’s most famous gardens since 1885. Enjoying an exceptional terroir, the planter passionately refines his methods so as to perpetually improve the quality of these harvests. The tea bushes planted at the beginning of the golden age of tea are the subject of special attention in order to bring out their aromatic quintessence which makes for the remarkable identity of this excellent garden. An ode to the senses and to pleasure.
Dried leaves: A delicate plucking of young, amethyst green shoots with magnificent pearly white buds.
Infused leaves: A scent of exotic fruits gradually exhales from the leaves, diffusing joyful notes of pink papaya and silky persimmon. Like a whispered conversation, a veil of crystallised violet surreptitiously brings softness and sensuality to this bouquet of rare complexity and infinite nuance.
Liquor: The liqueur is golden, sunny, and exceptionally bright, revealing a floral bouquet of mimosa honey. The texture, soft and supple, harmoniously blends delicacy with ferveur. This exceptional terroir, with its beautiful notes of guava and mango sorbet, leaves a lasting impression on the palate.
