Jungpana, which means "the refuge of the world", is one of the most dazzling gardens in Darjeeling. Nestled in the district of Kurseong, it offers fresh and airy teas of which this vintage harvested in high summer is a magnificent example. This refined and prestigious tea is the fruit of an historic collaboration with the planter on a confidential plot located at an altitude of over 1,400 meters.
Presented in a Mariage Frères black pouch.
Description
Dried leaves: The leaves with nuances of mahogany and rosewood exhale a magnificent richness of fragrance. The fine buds, draped in velvet with shades of silver, give this cru all its letters of nobility. A fruity nose of ripe banana and raisin is mixed with tones of liqueurice wood.
Infused leaves: A delicious aromatic palette is generously expressed, ranging from the first shimmering notes of pepper to softer accents of roasted apricot. The final scent evokes all the sweetness of elderflower syrup.
Liqueur: The buttercup hues of a sun at its zenith illuminate the sparkling and limpid liqueur with accents of pine honey. The enveloping texture offers the bitter liveliness of almond nut and flourishes with suave sensations of frangipane and ripe persimmon.
