PU ERH – MILLESIME 2011
At an altitude of a thousand meters in the mountainous region of Yunnan, where the clouds form a last bulwark between the earth and the sky, not far from the border with Laos, this confidential garden continues the ancestral tradition of long-fermented tea. First shaped by the hand of man and then entrusted to the love of time during its maturation phase, this millesime reveals a few of the secrets of this emblematic terroir.
A majority of young shoots with a dark hue of pine bark make up this plucking, illuminated here and there by a few copper-tinted buds. A bouquet accented with autumn undergrowth unleashes notes of fern, moss and walnut shell.
The warm leaves exude generous aromas of almond and fresh walnut.
Dense and rich, the color resembles that of a fully ripe chestnut. The rim of the cup opens to the light with reflections of rose gold and copper, offering a warm fragrance of chestnut cream. The extremely velvety liquor entirely envelops the palate with an impression of walnut honey and nougat.
