Black tea - Jardin Premier*
Nepal First Flush 2017
Mariage Frères reveals its newest opus, an icon from a unique Terroir in the Nepalese foothills draped in pure air and imbued with crystalline water. The east of Nepal is known for being an illustrious tea-producing region using only the finest plants. Mariage Frères has worked a confidential parcel of land, situated between 1,000 and 2,000 meters in altitude, from where this extraordinary Grand Cru black tea is issued.
Dried leaves :
Silver-brown buds hemmed with gold exhale fruity notes of custard apple and stewed guava joined by a flowery wave of vanilla.
Infused leaves :
Burnt sienna, the young leaves deliver a fragrance of roasted walnut blended with zesty bergamot.
In its amber-coral dress, the cup offers an intense umami sensation while a seductive bouquet of mimosa enhances a hypnotizing note of blooming fig tree. Round notes of blood peach and mountain-flower honey kiss a gourmet finale of white cherry.
A new elixir from the Gods.
