Green tea - Jardin Premier*
In the far south of Japan, Kagoshima Bay is shaped by the nearby volcanoes found on Kyushu. This garden with centenary tea trees originating from the best plants on the island is nourished by a prodigious terroir. The harvest distinguishes itself from other grand producers by a heating method where the leaves undergo successive steamings; the vapour thus penetrates to the heart of the buds, enabling the leaves to unleash a veritable sensorial quintessence during the tasting.
Dried leaves :
An elegant combination of young leaves in luminescent green deliver fruity intonations of pomegranate and loquat. A smooth, milky heart note evokes the influential trade winds that bask the gardens in nurturing mists.
Infused leaves :
Elegant green garnet, the leaves exude a pleasant flowery-sweet scent of lilies while a woody aroma seems to recall a bucolic walk through a forest of cedars dripping from the monsoons. Once cooled, a hint of golden buckwheat arouses the senses.
A profound and mysterious emerald. The cup offers an ambrosial first note of Brazil nut followed by a gourmet hint of white chocolate with floral highlights. Drawn against the palate is a umami flair in harmony with unique flavours: the roundness of white strawberry, the vivacity of yuzu, and the sweet bitterness of hops.
A charming idyll.
