Made with the utmost respect for the traditional methods specific to grand Blue Teas™, the youngest leaves of this quality tea are picked early in the morning, when the fragrances of the plantation blend with the colours of dawn, then worked one by one and rolled, before being suffused with an elegant milky vapor.

<b>Dried leaves : </b>The gently rolled, deep green leaves recall a pleasing and comforting fragrance of melted white chocolate joined by a wispy hint of gianduja gracefully carried by a note of ‘panettone’ from the Piedmont.

<b>Infused leaves : </b>The first aromas are clearly held together by exotic fruits, a tad tangy like passion fruit and round like ripened lychee while an enveloping note recalling coconut rice manifests, deliciously gourmand.

<b>Liquor : </b>Opalescent orange. A natural link between terroir and the cup: the nose of the liquor is a perfect reflection of the leaf (dried and infused). Delicate notes of candied chestnut and creme patissiere charm the palate, caressed by the cup’s milky, supple texture.

At the heart of the island of Taiwan was born Rare Milky Blue Tea<sup>&reg;</sup>, in the region of Nantou, celebrated for its endless fertile plains and unreachable summits. Mariage Frères has distilled all the magic of the terroir of Tung Ting Mountain to create a unique and mysterious Blue Tea™ with a milky aroma, naturally drawn out from the essence of the leaf.

<b>Dried leaves : </b>Like a beautiful jade-pearl necklace the leaves are carefully rolled out and heated, eliciting an exquisite note of biscuit followed by a hint of chypre – reminiscent of a forest stroll in budding spring – accompanied by a reassuring fragrance of candied tamarind.

<b>Infused leaves : </b>The infused leaves open with a frank floral aroma recalling fresh redwood resin, then an airy note of precious rice, harmoniously blanketed with milky vapors.

<b>Liquor : </b>The ripe apricot-coloured robe is full of tender fragrances – an overture to a creamy and dense cup – bursting with stewed fruits on a backdrop of white almond cream.
