ROI DU SZECHWAN
FTGFOP1 - Black tea
China
Provenance : Szechuan – a province in central-west China – abounds with a thousand and one private gardens irrigated by pure flowing rivers, tributaries of the famous Yangtze Kiang. Mariage Frères has proudly brought back from this remote, mountainous region a pure jewel issued from a plantation bathed in thick fog and nestled among the highest summits of China.
Dried leaves : A manual harvest allows for a more rigourous selection of the youngest leaves which take on a silver-obsidian tint and are scattered amongst tender orange buds the colour of twilight. Together, hints of gourmet stewed prune and a lively note of fresh rose wet with morning dew create an aromatic harmony.
Infused leaves : The elegance is also reflected in a refined fragrance of pure cocoa woven with a sparkling impression of pink peppercorn before a finale of green vanilla.
Liquor : Ruby red. Its graceful and full body, exhaling notes of ylang-ylang honey, is joined by a seductive wave of praline and neroli.
A heavenly jewel.
