PUTTABONG
FTGFOP1 – Label Jardin Premier*
Black tea, summer flush – Darjeeling, India
Starting in 1852, just two years before the creation of Mariage Frères, the garden of Puttabong (meaning « Home of Green Leaves ») seeded their first tea plants. Innovation and quality exemplify the values of this pioneering plantation which works to preserve the Terroir through sustainable agriculture in harmony with nature. The purity of the harvest is matched only by the supreme pleasure of its taste.
Dried leaves: The ample leaves and buds, in shades of brown macassar veined with black, are crafted into even, twisting shapes.
Infused leaves: A fruity bouquet alternating between blackberry and black fig, lifted by the warm and spicy notes of myrtle leaf.
Liquor: The cup is amber and shiny, like forest honey. Rich tannins structure this summer tea whose aromatic framework is built around seductive aromas of toasted pecan, black grape and a gourmet finale of roasted cocoa bean.
Tea from beyond the skies: an extraordinary Darjeeling Nouveau.
