Jardin Premier* - Black tea
Apart from its unique taste, Opium Road tea is famed for its highly beneficial polyphenols and other antioxidant compounds that support general health and wellbeing. The traditional methods of the Lahu tribe have been employed for many generations in growing this ancient variety of tea. After harvesting the freshly plucked leaves, they are rolled and rinsed in boiling water then sun-dried on bamboo trays placed above an open fire which gives this tea its distinctively rich, smoky flavor.
The magnificent ebony-coloured buds unleash notes evoking truffle and a hint of liquorice.
Luminous black. The leaves are rich with chocolatey and woody aromas.
Deep amber. The liquor unveils ripe, fruity notes evoking tamarind and black cherry. A unique coppery sensation resonates on the palate, punctuated by notes of almond and prune.
Sublime Thai Tea.
