Darjeeling Premium First Flush
North Tukvar (meaning « Flame of fire ») is one of the most famous gardens of Darjeeling from where one can admire snow-covered Kanchenjunga – the third highest mountain in the world. Throughout the years, the plantation has become a model for sustainable living by producing its own natural compost and installing a gravity-based irrigation system. The surrounding bamboo forests preserve the stability of this rich terroir full of exceptional century-old tea plants.
Dried leaves : The magnificent, downy buds and their handsome mignonette-green leaves unleash a solar fragrance of stewed chestnut and magnolia flowers.
Infused leaves : Once infused, the leaves reveal absolute mellowness; a canvas composed of ardent pastels from which escape spare notes of candied nashi pear joined with a sensual draft of chypre.
Liquor : Amber gold, the liquor drapes the palate in a delicate apricot velour. The sharp fruitiness of lychee and blood peach ride along flowery waves of precious edelweiss.
A superior first flush.
