NAMRING UPPER FTGFOP1
BLACK TEA, SUMMER FLUSH – DARJEELING, INDIA
JARDIN PREMIER LABEL
Tea from beyond the Sky.
Issued from Jhinglam and Poomong, two extraordinary divisions of the Namring garden created in 1855 by the British, these parcels of land are found between 1,220 and 1,370 metres in altitude. The admirable work of the planters, the unique savoir-faire of Mariage Frères and the remarkable character of the Namring terroir give rise to a rich splendour of lunar velvety shades.
The most beautiful leaves in the garden are meticulously selected then artfully and elegantly hand-rolled. The planter offers a glimpse of his immense skill with this harvest, in the warm nuances of ebony and red cedar.
Lively and sparkling touches of cranberry and grapefruit peel paint a fruity picture, enhanced by the sweetness of roasted mango.
Shimmering with a thousand shades of orange, the cup presents a supple and enveloping liquor. A great complexity is revealed, mixing flowery rosewood with fruity baked pear. A spicy note of cinnamon blossom brings a sublime final touch to this masterpiece.
