FTGFOP1 DJ1/2015 - Jardin Premier*
Darjeeling First Flush
This garden, one of the oldest in Darjeeling, was created the same year as Mariage Frères in 1854. The tea plants, lovingly pampered for over 150 years, still produce one of the best crus of Darjeeling. With its 176 hectares at 2,100m in altitude, where the slopes of the Himalayas wind their way between India, Nepal and Bhutan, this is the closest garden to Darjeeling Town.
Dried leaves :
The buds, carefully harvested and with a quality rarely equalled, deliver a perfume of dried bark from the kaffir lime tree structured by a seductive note of pinewood cep.
Infused leaves :
Bluish-green and tender brown. The magnificent buds exhale a flourishing tone of cashew, coupled with the tangy sweetness of elderberry jelly.
Pale orange with nuances of gold. An ensemble of velvety fragrances spirit us away to a world of magical flavours. Extraordinary notes of citrus, mallow flower and cinnamon wood harmonize in this masterpiece.
