AUTUMNAL HAPPY VALLEY
SFTGFOP1 DJ65/19 - Jardin Premier*
Darjeeling Autumn Flush
This plantation, one of the oldest in Darjeeling, was founded in 1854 just like Mariage Frères. With its 176 hectares at 2,100m in altitude, where the slopes of the Himalayas wind through India, Nepal and Bhutan, this is the closest garden to the old town. Tea plants that have been lovingly cherished for over 160 years still produce one of the best crus in the region.
Dried leaves: The handsome buds and flamboyant young leaves in matte ebony deliver a gourmet fragrance evoking scones accompanied by delicious carob marmalade.
Infused leaves: The colour of Indian summer, the blooming leaves vibrate with tones of maple syrup and a voluptuous hint of precious incense.
Liquor: Dusky amber. The suave, fragrant exuberance of fresh walnut, hazelnut and almond blends wonderfully with the tangy richness of blackcurrant. The tasting continues with an elegant bright inflection of pomegranate honey and a final note of pineapple infused with hibiscus flower.
Happiness is in the cup.
