Darjeeling Premium First Flush

Nestled in the vicinity of Kurseong, the « City of the White Orchid », Castleton has been one of Darjeeling’s most famous gardens since 1885. Enjoying an exceptional terroir, the planter passionately refines his methods so as to perpetually improve the quality of his harvests. The tea bushes planted at the beginning of the golden age of tea are the subject of special attention in order to bring out their aromatic quintessence which makes for the remarkable identity of this excellent garden. An ode to the senses and to pleasure.

Dried leaves : Respected like a white tea, luminous like a green tea, mysterious like a Blue TeaTM and as intensely aromatic as a black tea, here is the King of Darjeelings, unveiling a fruity exuberance recalling the saveur of succulent yellow peach and candied apricot.

Infused leaves : Between emerald and jade, the buds and young leaves deliver an almost mystical, floral balm of neroli and patchouli. Cooling down, one recognizes an elegant and precious note of lotus pistils.

Liquor : Brilliant yellow topaz. The aromatic persistence is staggering. The senses rise to a crescendo in an explosion of taste and texture: a debut of creamy ivory ganache gives way to a blooming fuchsia peony. The sensation of fresh walnut coats the palate and a hint of elderberry water imparts a soaring dimension to the ensemble.
