BLACK TEA, SUMMER FLUSH – DARJEELING, INDIA
JARDIN PREMIER LABEL
Ambootia (which means « Land of the mango trees ») is one of the most famous gardens of Darjeeling in the foothills of the Himalayas. For over twenty years, this majestic plantation has been cultivated in complete harmony with this exceptional Terroir according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, methods which have contributed to the fame of this prestigious appellation.
The youngest shoots harvested during the hottest days of summer display colours of exotic wood with garnet reflections. A plethora of buds are illuminated in all their coppery nuances.
The gourmet and fruity score lets out notes of guava jam and passion fruit.
The liquor is clear and bright, 'old gold' with amber reflections. Playful aromas of mangosteen, Mirabelle plum and lime blossom intertwine with velvety tannins, lingering long on the palate.
An unforgettably fruity postcard from this rich terroir.
