This plantation the oldest one in Darjeeling and was created the very same year as Mariage Frères : in 1854. It is also the most eminent one (111 hectares at a height of 1 890 m), where the slopes of Himalaya meander between India, Nepal and Bhutan).
Leaves : large and long, twisted, light brown with a nice quantity of silver buds.
Nose : deep fragrance of cashew nut, cardamome and baked bamboo.
Liquor : amber gold, clear, its smooth body and developed tanins caress the palate and unveils a first fruity note of dried longan, followed by the sweet notes of mature bael.The finish is slightly spicy and long lasting in the mouth. |
